Mary Hime's Chihuahua's ~ Maxamesta (aka: Maxie) & Precious

Does it get any cuter than this?

How It All Began
I had talked to a lady about purchasing one of her puppies. We decided
on August 19 in the afternoon. My grandson decided he wanted to be
born on that day too. My first look at him, I said "Oh he is so
precious!" My son-in-law just looked at me. So I decided that if i
could not call him precious that I would call my puppy 10 oz Precious (cream colored).
Precious loves the children. If we go outside and put the baby in the
carrier, Precious climbs up at the foot of the carrier and guards them.
Maxie on the other hand, was supposed to be a white poodle. I took a
notion to get a poodle. In the mean time this little black and tan Chi
came into my life a little earlier than I expected. I was sick for a
week in December and stayed home. So I went ahead and got her
so that I could work with her. Her original date was December 10th.
Well low and behold grand son number two was born. I named her Maxie
because she looks like a dog I had as a child.
My family teases me about getting a chi every time I have a new
grandchild. So my husband told my daughter that she could not have any
more children because we can't afford anymore dogs in the house!

I have 2 special babies, Maxamesta and Precious. Maxie weighs 6 lbs. and Precious weighs 4 lbs. Maxie is our newest addition. She still has a lot of puppy left in her and can be quite destructive, including eating a hole through the gate while we were gone and tearing up the foam inside of precious' bed but did not mess up the cover.

Precious is a calm lap dog. She has been with us for 4 years. She is a blond Chihuahua and Maxie is a black and tan Chihuahua.

Sometimes we lose Maxie in the house and have to go check all blankets and clothes (on the floor of course). She likes to bury herself. She is fast as a bullet and jumps like a kangaroo.

Precious on the other hand has had 2 knee surgeries and can not jump and she won't run fast because she knows that we will either go get her or wait on her.

Maxie never seems to amaze us with her shenanigans while Precious sits back and watches.

Everyone should have some kind of pet to enjoy like we enjoy our girls.
